World War 1

It is a special day because it is 100 years since World War 1 started. In 1914 british declared war against germany. The Australian and New Zealand troops fought in Gallipoli, Turkey.

16,697 kiwis died in the war all of the trees were gone and there was only mud

and broken trees there was 16,0000 K.I.A and 20,0000 wounded

At 11:11:18 the war ended. 1000’s of people died and more than 9million

people died in 11 of November the Australian and New Zealand and Britain won the war.
