what is a food chain?

A food chain is an order of living things and what they eat. A food chain starts with a producer like plankton. In Antarctica animals are so freaky like a killer whale and more. These are killer whales they  can eat up to 2 to 3 tonnes of krill a day.

my weekend

In the weekend I stayed over my nanas house because my mum had army training in Palmerston North. I asked my papa “can we go for a bike ride down to the receiver?”, he was thinking about it.

“Please?” I said. “Ok  yaaaaa lets go!” Then we went up the hill where the road works were. It was hard to get up the steep hill. then we went past the school down to the Pt England Reserve. When we got there, I got to play on the new park for a half an hour then we hopped back on our bikes and rode all the way home.

Antarctica

Antarctica is the coldest, driest place on Earth. It is twice the size of

Australia. People from New Zealand, Europe and Africa visit

Antarctica.

It is made up of 70%fresh water.

There are lots of wildlife like penguins, seals, humpback whales and orcas.

Scientist and researchers live there to keep an eye on global warming.

Whales are the largest sea mammals in the world. they are divided into two groups. the father whale is called a bull, the mother whale is a cow and the baby whale is called a calf. they live in pods.

The snowman

We read a story called the Snowman by Alan Bagnall in Junior Journal 32.

The story was all about Nana, Ana and Tui. They were bored .

So they put their winter clothes on and they went outside

in the snow and made a snowman. Here is a picture of my snowman.

my Holiday

In the holiday I went to the holiday program at first  we did   we went for a trip to parkay pools it was really fun because we jumped  of the side of pool . then we went on slide  there  really big and really fast I said weeeeeeeee! it was really cool but my favorite one was rockclimbing

the walls were really high up into the sky when get to the top  and when I look down I was like spider man I hope I go to next school holiday program.

today we went the hall for a assembly to meet are special visitor will.i.am

mrs burt was so jealous of will.i.am becase he lkied  his boots .

he gave us $100.00.00 to all of the miakalaie school all of us said wow

that is a lot of money when he grew up he was very poor but when he started to grow up some more he had new friend it might not have a good beginning . but feel happy for him now and I  was really happy.

Rugby League

On tuesday when the second bell rang we went to class for the roll

then we lined up in two lines then we walked down to the hard court .Then we saw a man named james he was our coach first we had a warm up it was benji says so james was pretending to be benji.

Then we played octopus there were two tags with balls it was difficult

the one thing I learned is new skills like how to defend and pass the ball back.

Term 2 Immersion Assembly

In the morning it was pouring with rain. The second bell rang and we walked in a quiet line down to the hall. I saw Mr Burt in a detective costume. Then Team one’s  item it was all about measurement. They used paper clips a measuring tape and a pen to measure the Pink Panther that was on the wall. I saw team two’s item it was all  about

scientist. It was really interesting I can’t wait for the next Immersion assembly.

My favorite item was the cooking with chefs by team 5. They were trying to make something healthy to eat. Their

pictures hung on the table. There was one from the muppets. I liked the chef (Mr Barks)

he was really funny.
