what is a food chain?

A food chain is an order of living things and what they eat. A food chain starts with a producer like plankton. In Antarctica animals are so freaky like a killer whale and more. These are killer whales they  can eat up to 2 to 3 tonnes of krill a day.

my weekend

In the weekend I stayed over my nanas house because my mum had army training in Palmerston North. I asked my papa “can we go for a bike ride down to the receiver?”, he was thinking about it.

“Please?” I said. “Ok  yaaaaa lets go!” Then we went up the hill where the road works were. It was hard to get up the steep hill. then we went past the school down to the Pt England Reserve. When we got there, I got to play on the new park for a half an hour then we hopped back on our bikes and rode all the way home.

Antarctica is the coldest, driest place on Earth. It is twice the size of

Australia. People from New Zealand, Europe and Africa visit

Antarctica.

It is made up of 70%fresh water.

There are lots of wildlife like penguins, seals, humpback whales and orcas.

Scientist and researchers live there to keep an eye on global warming.

Whales are the largest sea mammals in the world. they are divided into two groups. the father whale is called a bull, the mother whale is a cow and the baby whale is called a calf. they live in pods.
